About Me
I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease when I was 21. It has been a life changing experience living with this disease, having to watch every morsel of food I eat, every product I use from shampoo to fabric softeners. When I was diagnosed, I realized I would have to change the way I eat for the rest of my life. It is extremely hard for me to eat out in public places, so I started cooking out of necessity. Even though I have to cook for myself, I love doing it. I saw the trailer for the upcoming movie Julie & Julia and saw Julie cooking her way through Julia Child’s cookbook and blogging about it. I fell in love with the idea. So this is my take on it, except every recipe I come across I am going to make it gluten free. So please join me on my journey through all sorts of cookbooks, from the classics to exotic cuisine, one gluten free recipe at a time.
I’m an uber nerdy girl, so there’s bound to be some nerdy post about some scifi cookie cutters or cake pans. Or possibly some really nerdy cake I’ve made from scratch.
